In November 2025, Cancer Australia, in partnership with the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare and Cancer Council, released the National Cancer Data Framework. This is a key action of the Australian Cancer Plan to address gaps and inconsistencies in data collection and reporting that make it challenging to build a complete picture of cancer control in Australia. This framework provides a national and unified approach to cancer data that will improve consistency and collaboration in cancer care, research and policy.
