Our Service Charter
Cancer Council Tasmania wants to provide the highest quality service we can. The purpose of the Cancer Council Tasmania Service Charter is to outline how we interact with people within and outside of our organisation.

How we help
Cancer Council Tasmania provides free, professional support services to Tasmanians diagnosed with cancer, their family and friends.

Our history
Cancer Council Tasmania commenced operation in 1995, the government of the day decided to create one organisation for the benefit of all Tasmanians whose lives were impacted by cancer.

CEO
Alison Lai - appointed CEO in October 2023.

Board and governance
Cancer Council Tasmania's Board volunteer their time and their professional knowledge to govern our organisation each year.

Annual report
We are over 90 per cent funded by public donations, our work could not be achieved without the generosity of the Tasmanian public.

Research
Cancer Council Tasmania has funded over $6.5 million towards local cancer research and clinical trials in the past 25 years.

Future Fund
Tasmania will have a far greater need for cancer support services in the future and we need to take action now.
